Falling back in love with your home doesn’t need to be grand.

It doesn’t need a renovation. It doesn’t need a full weekend and a huge budget.

It needs your attention and intention.

A peace place to curl up with a good book. A table set for people you love. Good lighting. Lots of laughter. Bare feet.

I’m saying this as much for myself as I am for you. Life gets full and we forget that the home is the foundation that everything else stands on.

One small turn of the dial and home comes alive again. The energy flows.

Save this for when home starts to feel flat and you need inspiration. 💕

When I stood in my closet there was an energetic mismatch between how I felt on the inside and the clothes I was seeing. Here’s what helped me bring the two into better alignment.

1. I got help. My brain is great for creativity but has a hard time staying on tasks I find hard so I enlisted 2 of my ride or dies.

2. Make a Pinterest board. This is key! I do this for every design project to pinpoint themes and it definitely translates to clothes. This gave me such a clear direction.

3. Shopped with aligned integrity. I bought designer (gently used) and from brands that resonated with my values. Clean clothes and some vintage luxury felt good to add in.

4. I gave to friends, sold and donated the rest. I get so happy seeing my friends wear my clothes!

Now I’m feeling empowered and excited to continue adding to my capsule-ish wardrobe ✨

Life’s path is full of twists and turns, deaths and rebirths. If it wasn’t obvious, I’m going through this now 😂. Could be the shifting hormones, but the mid 40’s rebirth is happening and I am not mad about it. In fact, I have never been happier.

But it doesn’t happen by accident. Nothing will catapult you there quite like courage and consistency. It will feel wildly uncomfortable at first, but then it becomes the new normal and the things you once feared don’t hold the same weight. You dream bigger and new things start to scare you and that’s often the signal that you’re on the right path.

Stay open to the nudges, the breadcrumbs, they are guiding you along always. Stay courageous my darlings. Gold is on the other side.

I used to think abundance was something I had to chase. Now I know it’s something I allow.

When I clear space in my home or in my mind & body, I am really clearing space in my energy field. I’m signaling to the universe that I am ready for clarity, for opportunities, for miracles to come my way with ease.

Your home wants to support your expansion. It wants to be a magnetic amplifier for all that you are calling in.

It’s something you feel deep within. It’s a knowing that then sends ripples into your home.

COUNTRY RD PROJECT // primary suite remodel

Confession: while I designed this bathroom, my own bathroom doesn’t always look this serene. Hello, oils, serums, and all the little things that seem to multiply overnight!

But every time I take five minutes to clear the space—putting things back in their place, wiping down the counters—I feel an instant shift. The energy settles, and my bathroom transforms back into the peaceful retreat it was designed to be.

It’s a small act, but it’s a reminder: our homes hold energy, and tending to them is an act of care, for both the space and ourselves.

February tends to be about big love—grand gestures, bold declarations. But I’ve been thinking about the subtler kind of love.

Like the way fresh flowers shift the energy of a space. The subtle texture of handmade tile catching the light. The feeling of comfort that a well used cookbook gives you every time you open it.

Love isn’t always something we add—sometimes, it’s what we notice.

This month, I’m paying attention to the little things. The details that make home feel just right. When you fill your home and your day with tiny moments you love, life becomes a whole lot sweeter. But you have to slow down to pay attention. You have to notice and then relish in the warm feeling.

For me it’s fresh flowers, a gift to myself every Sunday. It’s the changing light streaming through my living room window. It’s the art that tells a story of who we are and reminds me who I am becoming. If you are present to these moments of love and engage with them on a daily basis, your heart can’t help but expand.
