This one has a real story.
Pulled from a historical home near the Oklahoma State Capitol, this early 1930’s kitchen hutch has been part of Oklahoma history for well over a century. Solid doors, diamond pattern etched glass, original interior, clear glass with shelves, a classic tambour (roll up) door, pull out white enamel work surface, and a full stack of drawers with original style cup pulls.
She wears a rich forest green with brass style hardware and still has all that beautiful old character. Pieces with this kind of provenance don’t come around often.
Available now at the Shop 405 booth inside 3 Strands Vintage Antique Mall.

Picked today and hit the jackpot!
Ran into a country sale where everything had been shipped in from Germany, and the treasures did not disappoint.

This old seed cabinet just came home with me from the feed store in Newcastle, the same place my mom and I used to go every single year for her garden seeds. We’d walk those aisles, pick out packets, and every time she’d glance at this cabinet and say something about how much she loved it. I always did too.
They finally decided to retire, and somehow this piece of history ended up in my house. The original vintage seed packets are still on the drawers, sunflowers, carrots, the whole story of seasons past still right there on the front. And they even included some of the old scoops. I feel so blessed.
It’s more than furniture. It’s a quiet little piece of the years my mom and I shared, still standing, still full of potential.
Grateful doesn’t even cover it.

Found this sweet mid century chest of drawers tucked away in a barn a week or two ago and knew she had potential.
After a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint (basically just slapped a little lipstick on her, like kids used to say!), she’s looking pretty and ready for her next chapter.
She’ll be heading to the Shop 405 booth very soon. I can’t wait for someone to fall in love with her the way I did when I first spotted her.
There’s just something special about pulling these quiet pieces out of barns, giving them a little love, and watching them come back to life.
