My house isn’t cluttered. It’s an archaeological dig with excellent lighting.
Apparently, people are craving homes with warmth, personality, and enough charm to make you want to cancel your plans and stay in. Which brings us to the latest cozy obsession: Burrow Core.
“What in the world is Burrow Core?” you ask.
Imagine if a hobbit inherited an antique store and decided to take up knitting.
Burrow Core is basically the opposite of those picture-perfect minimalist homes where nobody is allowed to sit on the couch. Instead, it celebrates overflowing bookshelves, dog-eared novels, whimsical wallpaper, mismatched antiques, and craft projects that have been “almost finished” since 2019.
There are stacks of books, blankets everywhere, cocktail glasses that somehow multiply, and enough treasures collected over the years to make your grandchildren fight over them someday.
The goal isn’t to create a house that looks like a museum or a magazine spread. It’s to create a home that says, “Come on in, have some cocktails, ignore the puzzle on the table, and stay awhile.”
In other words, if your decorating style can best be described as “retired English professor meets woodland creature with a shopping addiction,” congratulations—you’re already living the dream.
