Next up> Shawnee Christkindlmarkt Moonlight Market on Thursday Nov. 12 from 4-7pm at the Shawnee City Hall. We participated last year for the first time - it was a wonderful atmosphere, lots of people milling around; a stage for musical performances by student choirs and dance teams and Santa was inside City Hall to greet the children. Heads up - it's during the week! Our shop will be set up with all things Winter and Christmas, ie. wreaths, swags, signs with big bows, tree topper hats with bows and package bows. Come enjoy the community spirit and what we hope is beautiful fall evening weather!

Where was this beautiful fall weather last weekend during the Overland Park Fall Festival?
Friday was a rainy set up. Friday night was rainy BUT some people still came out with umbrellas in hand! Zipped up the tent and everything stayed nice and dry in the overnight downpours.
Saturday was on and off rain and clouds. In and out with our racks of wreaths because those items just can't get wet.
Thank you to everyone who came out in spite of the weather. Friends Heather, Marlee, Gretchen, Sandy and some of our regulars still found us. The 2nd best part of craft festivals is visiting with the many who stop by. So many interesting and fun folks. Lots of questions and I enjoy sharing information -it's the teacher part of me that just won't quit. The very best part though- spending time with our daughter Kara. We always have a fun time together no matter the weather, if sales are up or down, or challenges of setup and breakdown. It's always a treasured 2 days! If there were only some magic or drone to make that load in and load out just land in place, I could settle in at many more fairs.

Next up for HWS>>> November 19th. Christkindlmarkt at Shawnee City Hall Moonlight Madness 4-7 pm. Santa will be there and lots of student musical performances on stage - so fun! Hoping for 60 degree temps again this year!
