Our Ceramics 101 course is the ultimate deep dive for anyone looking to build a foundation in clay. This class was designed for the beginner who wants to know more. This is the only course to include a technical mini-lesson at the start of every session. You’ll walk away with the vocabulary and concepts needed to build your future as a maker.

What’s Included:
The "Big Three" Handbuilding: Master slab, coil, and pinch pot techniques.

The Essentials: Gain an understanding of the stages of clay and how to build almost anything. Learn how to put it all together with slip and score, and understand the technical processes that turn raw clay into finished ceramic.

The Wheel: Get a 1-day exposure to the pottery wheel to find your center.

The Finish: A day to glaze everything you made, before we load them up in the final firing.

By the end of this series, you have a collection of handmade pieces along with the skills and confidence to begin your ceramics journey.
