Antique w/History!
There is a story behind these beautiful old o***m pipes and how they came to me. In the late 1970s an adventurous young college grad decided he wanted to see the exotic Far East. He put on his backpack and spent over a year trekking through parts of China, India, Myanmar (Burma) Tibet and Nepal. He brought home treasures like these repousseé o***m pipes of silver plate. The highly decorated pipes have traditional Chinese figures and clouds on them. The ends are bone. They have never been used and now they are simply objects of beauty showing the handiwork and history of Chinese craftsmen. The young man finally came home put his treasures in a box in storage and got married. His wife loved travel as much as he did and together they wandered the world for over 20 years. When he died his wife bought a house in Olympia and finally unpacked what he brought home from that long ago trip for the first time, and I am honored to be able to show them at Lighthouse.
