Been a little while since I’ve posted, sorry about that. But several people have asked about the river table I was making. Last coat just went on about 5 minutes ago, so here it is. This thing fought me tooth and nail, and I’ve learned a lot. As much as it fought though, I’m pretty happy with the final product. Now I just hold my breath and pray nothing messes up my finish!

Started the pouring process on a beautiful epoxy river table today! Used a walnut slab, cut into two, with the bark sides facing to create a more natural 'river' shape. I'll be pouring the rest on Wednesday, so keep your eyes peeled for the live video then!

Welcome to the new shop! Still a work in progress, but it’ll get there. First project: get my daughters bed built. Poor girl has been waiting patiently for me to get other projects done. But there it is. Birch plywood platform bed stained in Weathered Gray from Varathane followed by 3 coats of Varathane water based Polyurethane. I’d be happy to to build on for you and customize it anyway you’d like!

So, a little better view of the River Bar top at the Rack and Pinion(My basement bar). This is a Silver Maple Slab with Red Metallic Epoxy River I put together. Flattened it with a jig I built for my router, cut it in half length wise with a track saw, and assembled the pieces in the form to pour the River. 7 days to cure, then 3 coats of clear countertop epoxy.
