This project would have been the most challenging restoration of my career if I hadn’t immediately followed up this job with a mirror restoration that only slightly surpassed its difficulty. This clock was originally made by a clockmaker from Manchester who lived between 1730 and 1762, named Philip Antrobus. Our local Women’s Club is the owner and is also responsible for funding its restoration. It’s currently on display at the Kerr Place in Onancock, VA. I was excited to see my work featured in Virginia Living, although I was not given adequate credit. According to the article, I only contributed under the supervision of Timothy Smith. They didn’t even give me credit for my photos when they included the article in a second issue. Oh well, I’m honored to be trusted with the case restoration of this beautiful clock. Mike Gould is responsible for restoring the clock face and works. Timothy Smith’s contribution mainly consists of picking up the clock and delivering it to my workshop.

I’ve just finished photographing one of my latest side projects. I designed and crafted all these earrings myself and am excited to share these unique pieces with you. They are available for purchase on my Instagram shop and website. Depending on the response, I’m considering adding more to the store and taking commissions for custom designs. Let me know what you think!

This coffee table was one of my more unique commissions in 2023. My client had two antique typesetter drawers that they wanted to be turned into a coffee table that could display the fossils and sea glass collected during their many visits to shore’s barrier islands. We decided to underlight a section for the sea glass.

Update: Since renovations cost a lot of money, we've shifted our focus to completing restorations and custom orders; this has kept us so busy I haven't had time to keep up with our social media platforms. But here is a sneak peek at just a few. We hope everyone has a lovely holiday.

There is still a lot to do to our building before we can open the showroom up again, but we’ve slowed down a bit to complete some jobs on the books. These two end tables are made from reclaimed Sapele, usually pronounced (sah-PELL-ey), finishing with a clear coat like (Wipe-On Poly - Clear Satin) makes the ribbons in the wood almost glow.

It's starting to feel like a new space. The walls are getting painted, the floors are sealed, and overhead shop lights, outlets, and HVAC will hopefully be installed this week.

Last week, after over 225 measurements and almost burning out my laser level, There is now a level ceiling in the gallery section. This week, we're grinding the concrete floor in preparation for sealing. I can't wait to be done with the floor because the process of grinding 2,000 square feet of concrete is as bad as it sounds.

We are making steady progress with the remodel. This week we framed out the gallery/storefront section. I got a chance to try out this mask made by .
