Designed for slow Saturday mornings that turn into afternoons.

We made this breakfast nook work harder by wrapping the space in built-in banquette seating, maximizing seating while keeping the center open. A long, narrow table follows the proportions of the room, while the wood-clad ceiling brings warmth and makes the nook feel intentionally intimate.

An airy chandelier adds scale without visual weight—the kind of space that invites you to settle in and stay awhile.

Rooms that feel collected over time are all about balance.
Here, we mixed tailored linen with aged wood, vintage pieces with newer silhouettes, and a quiet palette that lets texture and patina do the work. Taking the drapery nearly to the ceiling emphasizes the architecture, while lower furniture keeps the room feeling intimate.
The goal with an older home isn’t to make everything feel new—it’s to add layers that feel like they’ve always belonged.

The details that make you pause in the doorway.
A ruffled striped shade, a gathered cabinet skirt, and warm wood against painted butter yellow brick. In this little corner, a simple palette leaves room for layers of pattern and texture, our favorite mix. 💛

In many European homes, stone isn’t treated as decoration—it’s part of the architecture. Here, we carried it inside and wrapped the entire window opening, giving the room a sense of age, permanence, and quiet weight.
It makes the tub feel tucked into the architecture rather than simply placed in front of a window. This detail changes the room- making it feel softer, more grounded, and as though it has always been here.

What years of designing homes have changed my mind about…

I used to think a beautiful home came down to making all the right selections.

Now I know the best homes are shaped just as much by what you choose not to do.

Not every wall needs to be a statement.
Not every finish needs to match perfectly.
And a room can feel completely finished without feeling overdesigned.

The most memorable interiors leave room for pieces to be collected, materials to age, and the people living there to become part of the story.

I’ve also learned that timeless design doesn’t mean playing it safe.
It means making thoughtful, personal choices that can outlast whatever is trending.

A home can be beautiful in photographs—but if it doesn’t work for the people living there, it isn’t truly successful.

These days, I’m far less interested in creating a “picture-perfect” home.

I want to create homes with depth, ease, character—and a sense that they could only belong to the people who live there.

We look to Europe constantly for design inspiration—but we’re never trying to recreate a European house.
What we’re drawn to is the feeling.

We are after rooms that look like they’ve evolved over time and natural materials that get better with age. We carefully curate antiques mixed with newer pieces, making sure the architecture has character before the furniture ever goes in.

European interiors are rarely about everything matching or feeling overly finished. There’s usually a little tension—old next to new, refined next to rustic, something precious beside something simple. That mix is what makes a space feel interesting and lived in. We take those ideas and translate them for the way our clients live now.

That might mean an old-world material paired with a highly functional kitchen layout, vintage lighting in a new build, or architectural details that give a home a sense of history without making it feel themed.

The goal isn’t to make a home look like it belongs in France or Italy. Our goal is to create the kind of depth, warmth and permanence we love about European interiors—and make it feel completely at home here.

One of my favorite parts of the design process is watching an idea become something tangible. Before a single tile is installed or a fixture is ordered, we’re asking how every material will work together—how the stone will soften the brass, how the linen will filter the light, and how the textures will create a space that feels layered rather than decorated.

Seeing the bathroom alongside the original concept is a reminder that thoughtful design isn’t about copying a mood board. It’s about translating a feeling into a space you can actually live in.

Here’s a peek of this bathroom (full reveal coming soon). Swipe to see where it began.

Shelfie Saturday 🤍

A shelf should never feel like a collection of random objects. Styling shelves can get tricky as you want them to feel collected rather than cluttered.

Here is the formula we use:

• Start with larger anchor pieces to create structure.
• Layer artwork or objects in front instead of lining everything up.
• Mix materials—wood, stone, metal, ceramic, and glass—to add depth.
• Vary heights and shapes so your eye naturally moves around the display.
• Leave breathing room. Empty space is just as important as what’s on the shelf.

The goal isn’t to fill every inch—it’s to create moments worth noticing.

Life lately 🤍

A season measured less by the calendar and more by the moments in between.

Early mornings in the studio. Projects slowly coming to life. Much needed girls weekends. Long dinners. Photo shoots. Family adventures. Swim suits that are never dry.

Here’s to making the most of these long summer days.
