I work a lot and most of the time I am too exhausted to even pick up my brush, but today I had such a longing to paint.
When I sat down I realized two things: 1) I had no idea if I could even draw anymore, it's been months since I grabbed a pencil.
2) I didn't want to have the burden of painting something because I needed a new product to sell... I only wanted to paint, I didn't care if it was a good painting or a bad painting.
For once I didn't care if it looked wonky, I had this maddening need to paint something to feel the brush in my hand and the colors bleed on the paper, I wanted to be frustrated everytime the brush wasn't acting right, without the burden of perfectionist whispering in my ear.
I'm glad I got to paint something. To be honest. I don't know if it's good. I don't know if its bad. And I DON'T CARE.
Painting is something I love to do, and everyday I want to learn more, practice more and take chances with new ways.
