The client asked for product photos. I heard “editorial photoshoot starring your interior designer.” 📸💁🏼‍♀️

The product is in every photo, so technically I followed directions. 😂

Clean doesn’t have to mean empty. The right layers bring warmth and personality to a kitchen, but restraint is key. Varying the height, scale, and texture of each piece creates interest without making the space feel cluttered.

The goal is a kitchen that feels styled, intentional, and still easy to live in.

Where texture meets art ✨
This grasscloth mural creates a beautiful focal point while adding warmth, depth, and a soft sense of movement to the bedroom. It’s the kind of detail that makes the entire space feel thoughtfully layered and completely unique.

Would you choose a grasscloth mural for your bedroom?

People think an interior designer’s camera roll is all pretty rooms and perfectly styled pillows. Mine is 47 photos of the same wall, a blurry tape measure because “I’ll need that dimension later,” and a paint sample captioned “What do we think about this one?” 😂

The finished spaces are glamorous. The camera roll that gets us there? Questionable.

Tell me I’m not the only one with a camera roll full of photos that make sense to absolutely no one else. 👇

I may lose more tape measures than I’d like to admit, but I do know what makes a house come together… and I definitely know when something in construction isn’t quite right.

It’s all in the details, and yes, I will notice them. 😂

POV: You hire an interior designer and she leaves a trail of tape measures behind her. 😂

Job site? Left it there.
Showroom? Probably left one there too.
Client’s house? Check the countertop.

At this point, buying tape measures should probably be its own line item in the budget. 📏🤦🏼‍♀️

Apparently, this is what ChatGPT thinks an interior designer does all day… and honestly, it’s pretty accurate. 😂

Job site walks, tile shopping, reviewing details, directing the project, solving problems, and making about a million tiny decisions along the way.

Interior design is so much more than picking pretty things and that’s exactly why I love it. 🤍

Good design should still feel beautiful long after the trends have moved on.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We designed this foyer over six years ago, and it still feels just as fresh and elevated today. While trends can be a great source of inspiration, they should never dictate every decision in your home. What is popular right now is not always what will feel right five or ten years from now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Design for the way you live. Choose details that feel personal. Then anchor it all with classic materials, thoughtful proportions, and timeless layers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A home should feel like you, not like a timestamp. 🤍
