Dear Flower Fam,
It’s with a heavy heart that I must share the news that Rosemary’s Garden Florals is closing.
For the past six years, it’s been the greatest honor to create gorgeous floral arrangements for our clients all over the country! I’ve been lucky enough to hear from clients years after their weddings, who still display the bouquets I made for them in their homes. The most rewarding part of my work has been knowing that couples choose me to be part of their special day, and I’m honored to have been the chosen florist for so many amazing couples.
Rosemary’s Garden Florals began as a small craft stall at our local farmer’s market. I was creating the arrangements for my own wedding with hand-painted wood flowers and had lots of test flowers leftover, so I made small arrangements to sell to our local community. It helped me recoup some of our wedding costs and allowed me to introduce our community to wood flowers! After our own wedding, others started asking me to create their wedding flowers and the business grew from there. I gradually transitioned from wood to real touch flowers, due to their beauty and the potential to create even more realistic arrangements. During this time, I met so many lovely couples who embraced my vision, and I placed as a finalist in the local Best of Haven Awards not once but twice! We also won a national award from Best of Zola for excellent customer service.
Last year, I took the leap of going full-time. I believed that if I were able to dedicate all my time to it, I could grow the business to support me and my husband for now, and eventually to hire employees and grow it even larger. However, despite all the opportunities I’ve had, it was not enough to generate actual sales. I’ve learned a difficult but valuable lesson that sometimes, you can give it your all and still not reach your goal.
I’ll always be in love with flowers and I’ll always treasure my precious clients and friends I’ve made in the industry, but it’s time for me to close this chapter of my life and make room for the next one to begin. Thank you for your love and support! You all deserve your flowers 💐
Love,
Rosemary
