Is your vinyl plank floor lifting, buckling, or separating?

This is one of the most common problems we see, and in many cases the flooring isn’t actually the problem.

The real cause could be:
✅ Moisture coming through the concrete
✅ An uneven or poorly prepared subfloor
✅ Improper installation
✅ Not leaving enough expansion space

Replacing the floor without fixing the underlying issue usually means the same problem will happen again.

If you’ve noticed your floor starting to lift or separate, it’s best to have it inspected before the damage gets worse.

Many flooring failures don’t happen because of a bad product—they happen because the subfloor wasn’t properly prepared.

Before installing this beautiful glue-down engineered hardwood floor, we completed every step the right way:

✅ Tested the concrete for moisture to ensure it met manufacturer specifications.
✅ Checked the slab for high and low spots.
✅ Ground down high areas for a flat surface.
✅ Filled low spots with self-leveling compound.
✅ Allowed the material to fully cure.
✅ Ground and feathered the edges of the self-leveler until the floor was perfectly smooth.
✅ Installed the hardwood flooring using the proper premium adhesive.
