A little perspective on just how big “Tiny and the Beast” really are. 😂🔥🌿

Cleaning, dry-fitting, and sorting out the last few fittings before their first run together.

Tiny is our 145-gallon steam generator.
The Beast is the 12-inch botanical chamber towering above it.

While the permanent stand for Beast is being fabricated, I’m planning to put this setup to work with a fresh Florida citrus run. 🍊🍋

There’s been a lot of experimenting, rebuilding, and stainless-steel Tetris getting to this point. Now it’s almost time to make steam.

And, as always, the quality-control department is on site. 🐕🐕

A little more stainless joined Bay Hill Botanicals this weekend. 🔩🔥🌿

Meet Tiny.

Tiny is a 145-gallon commercial kettle that will become part of our larger-scale botanical distillation setup as we continue building production capacity here in Orlando.

Getting it home required a pickup truck, ratchet straps, and yes… a forklift. 😂

What started with a 5-foot copper column has grown into a remarkably capable little production system, one carefully repurposed piece at a time.

The Stainless Legos continue.

Tonight, the Kraken came to life. 🍊🐙
We completed the first orange run on our new copper botanical column. The updated design spreads the orange peel across five separate beds, giving steam more room to move evenly through the load instead of fighting through one tightly packed section.
Once the copper came up to temperature, the entire patio began smelling like orange.
This is what product development looks like at Bay Hill Botanicals: build, test, measure, refine, and run it again. One batch closer to a better distilled botanical water.

Production at Bay Hill Botanicals just became a lot more flexible. 🌿
We sold one 32-gallon conical and replaced it with six 15-gallon Blichmann conicals, while still coming out $200 ahead.
The smaller vessels give us better control for receiving, splitting, settling, storing, and managing individual botanical batches. Instead of tying up one oversized tank, we can keep multiple products moving through the system independently.
This is not about collecting more stainless steel. It is about building a smarter, more adaptable production engine.
Control before scale. Right-sizing before expanding.

Two systems. Two very different jobs.
One botanical obsession.
The Copper Kraken is built for citrus.
The stainless Beast is built for high-volume lavender and botanicals.
Today was their first time standing side by side, and the scale of what Bay Hill Botanicals has become finally hit home.
Tucker and Tyrus supervised the introductions. 🌿⚙️🐾
From Florida botanicals to distilled botanical water, we’re building the equipment, refining the process and getting ready for market.

Meet The Beast. 🌿⚙️

Today’s dry fit: 10 stainless racks inside the new 12-inch botanical column, each separated by exact 3-inch copper spacers.
Every rack will carry its own loose bag of lavender, preventing compression and giving the steam a clear path through the entire column.
This is the final still upgrade. Next stop: production and market.

The Beast is ready to earn its name.

The new 12-inch botanical chamber has arrived. With the reducers included, the complete chamber provides approximately 18.5 gallons of internal volume, more than SEVEN TIMES our original setup. Final racks arrive Saturday, then production begins. 🌿⚙️

First full French lavender production run is bottled! 🌿
From 8.6 pounds of dry lavender, we collected 10 gallons total and bottled 9.5 gallons of beautifully fragrant lavender hydrosol. Two quarts from the beginning and end of the run were kept separate.
The golden layer in the separator is the oil-rich aromatic fraction settling out. It is not all pure essential oil, but it certainly makes for one heck of a photograph.
The real prize is in the bottles: clean, clear hydrosol with a wonderfully strong lavender aroma.
Bay Hill Botanicals is officially in the lavender business.

First drip at 10:02 AM. 🌿
Today’s French lavender run is underway.
We fired the boiler at 8:25 AM, loaded the column with 13 bags of lavender at 300g each, and used racks between every bag to keep the steam moving evenly through the botanical bed.
This is the first real production run with the Lavender Cannon, and it is exactly why this equipment was built: clean steam, slow extraction, and small-batch lavender hydrosol made right here in Orlando.
The shop smells incredible.
