Mecate Monday

This was MY Saturday.. it was .... dumb!

Social media loves to show the satisfying, smooth process of making gear. It doesn't show the pure stress of realizing a mistake, having to tear the entire thing apart, and watching hours of tedious work completely vanish.

I almost cut up this mecate or even through it out the window, but I couldn't leave it wrong.
After the absolute nightmare of tearing this entire mecate apart and starting over, the second time worked.

It’s redone, my hands hurt, and It turned out absolutely beautiful, and the stress of Saturday is officially gone (mostly). I’m incredibly proud of how this piece looks, but I will be so happy when the knot is done & it is finished!
