An interesting ending to our market trip this year. Unfortunately Mary’s car decided to stall by St Louis. (She said I had to mention the dead deer we were unfortunate to have coasted to a stop by and the location of the Lutheran church across the road which I maybe mentioned was a sign we hadn’t gone this morning .) We are safe and back on the road with a rental and all the treasures are securely tucked inside.
We would like to give a shoutout to Angie for sending us a phone number to a towing company she has previously used. This company went above and beyond to help us. Thank you A-One Towing.
Both the towing guy and the police officer were exceptional! Not only did these two gentleman help us locate an auto repair shop but called until they found a car rental company for us. The officer on the scene even went so far as to pay a Uber to take us to pickup the rental. (Mary said she wasn’t opposed to playing the sad tired grandma card to get some help.)
After sitting at a dead stop on the interstate for 2 hours on the way down because of a semi overturned to spending countless shopping time on the phone trying to unlock the store credit card which took 4 calls over two days and several representatives we are starting to rethink this market madness. (Just a note, our cards are locked again.) 😫
On a brighter note I would like to thank Mary, Sherry , and Merel for the countless hours we spent before market, during market, and the ones to come yet this week. I know I couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️
We hope to see you at the open house Thursday, Friday, or Saturday,
