FIVE Sundays until December and the Christmas quilt top is finished! 🎄⭐️
Now the part where this actually becomes a quilt 🧵🪡

If you’re anything like me, there are some of your kid’s clothes you’ll never be able to part with 🥹
I made this quilt for my son using pieces of his baby clothes, hospital blanket, first birthday shirt, crib sheets and more.
Those tiny pj’s and blankets that seem so ordinary in the moment, suddenly they grow out of them and they become impossible to part with 😭
If you’ve been holding onto those baby items, maybe this is your sign to send them to me so I can turn it into something you can keep long after they’re grown out of them 🤍
Message me if you’d like me to make one for your family 💌

My Christmas quilt is coming together quicker than expected! Just one last part and then moving to the quilting phase.
A few quick tips if you’re starting a quilt soon:
🧵 never underestimate a seam allowance
🧵 sort your blocks before sewing to keep your layout organized
🧵 always press your seams
🧵square up your edges every time to ensure a more accurate quilt top
Follow to see the full quilt reveal soon 😍

Six more Sundays until December and we’re making good progress.
This week was HST’s. So many HST’s 😮‍💨 and, of course, I saw the trick to making them AFTER I cut them all. I will know better next time 😂

Starting my Christmas quilt now because I would actually like my family to enjoy it this year 🎄🎅🏼

Three fabrics. No pattern. Just an idea, a pad of paper and pencil, a calculator and me hoping it comes together how I’m picturing it 🤞🏼

This is one that I hope is used by my kids for years and years to come 🥹 and maybe even them fighting over who gets to keep it eventually 🤪
