I have been thinking about making a patriotic tree for a while. It’s been brewing, considering what to use, a mix of old and new, and today I came up with this little gem. On this May Day, I thought it would be fun to share the award ribbon that my grandfather received on May Day in 8th grade in 1932. I remember celebrating May Day with a Maypole dance and field activities when I was a kid also. Do they still do that in schools?
