VINTED UPDATE:
I’ve had a lot of conversations about Vinted the last few weeks and I’d love to share my thoughts on it as someone who has used just about every reselling platform out there 🫠🤣
If you joined me on my live last week you may remember me saying that I would eventually create a post sharing some insight so here it goes;
Here is a little recap of my time so far:
🛍️ Posting & selling on Vinted for *almost* 6 weeks
🛍️ Sold 34 items
🛍️ Bought 13 items
The GOOD Takeaways:
1. By far, the easiest platform I’ve used to post and upload products for sale
2. Easy to operate (for sellers and buyers)
3. The cheapest fees and shipping rates so far (this may change as Vinted grows)
4. Easy to send messages to buyers and sellers if you have questions
5. So far, all of my questions have been answered through the Help Center if anything comes up
6. I’m finding that you can resell/buy almost anything on Vinted — books, kitchen gadgets, decor, accessories, kids stuff, etc!
7. The referral program is HUGE!! Use my link below to sign up and make some easy money! 💸
The BAD stuff (in my opinion):
1. You have to be actively uploading, liking or scrolling the app to push your algorithm — you can’t just post and walk away for 2 days and think people will see your stuff 🫠
2. The app really isn’t for full-time “resellers” who do this as a job — but it is amazing for those looking to declutter and just make a little moolah on their gently used items
3. Vintage isn’t really something many shoppers are searching for on vinted…yet - but more of the inexpensive brands such as Walmart, target, old navy, etc. actually does best
Overall, I like it.
I’ll continue to post on it and shop on it.
My goal is upload as much as I can on Vinted this fall and winter so that I have a one-stop shop for those that want to see my in stock items.
As they may sell during on-line sales, I’ll just remove the listings.
My biggest take away — if you have a Vinted page, share it and share it A LOT! Every time you get a follower or new “likes” on your items, it’ll boost your page organically!
