Fun find this morning…someone is using my design as an inspiration photo! Bottom right is a picture they took of what was a boring front porch that I redesigned and expanded to improve curb appeal on this commercial building. Guess it worked! 😃

Huge transformation for this office space. From early 90s burgundy, plant ledges and curved walls to a modern space that any professional could be proud of. Be sure to check out the library…sooo many books! Styled Sanctuary took this project from reworking the layout to styling the shelves and everything in between. Love the finished product!

The design process can be crazy overwhelming because we have so many choices at our fingertips!

It’s always best to start with one thing that you fall in love with. For this client, the striped carpet was an easy choice. From there, the color palette quickly fell in to place (black trim and doors, white ceilings, warm gray walls, and blue accent walls in strategic locations. We looked at lots of vinyl plank…I mean LOTS of vinyl plank…and settled on this beauty. We had to coordinate with some existing wood finish that we don’t have the budget to change and this will blend beautifully and really modernize the space. We settled on some dark cabinets that show beautiful grain (not pictured) and then had to select countertops. I provided three quartz samples with coordinating laminate tops (because we need both) so the client could pick a favorite without being overwhelmed by all the choices.

I know which one the client picked, but I’m curious to know what your favorite is! Top, middle, or bottom??

Finally getting these before and after photos posted. I remember walking through this house the first time and being so confused by the layout. It made much more sense when I was done.

Throwback Thursday to 5 years ago when my design work was featured in a story in 417 Magazine. Pretty cool for someone who wasn’t technically a designer. 😁 Fast forward to now and in addition to this build, I’ve overseen six complete redesigns and remodels and a year’s worth of design consulting for clients. I love the challenge that each new project brings, especially when I can make an old house function better for a modern family.

Feels so good to cross the finish line!

The transformation of this home is remarkable. Every single space had a layout or flow change except the living room. It was a huge undertaking and required a lot of problem solving, but I couldn’t be happier with the results.
