A little studio magic happened today✨

The Luna moth has emerged from her cloud
of solder and is ready for a patina bath 🛁.
Soon she’ll have that beautiful aged glow that makes her look like she flew straight out of an enchanted forest!

The Heron pair are coming together nicely getting closer to being ready to take flight! 🪶🪶 They’re just about finished with cutting/grinding
(I have to recut #18 - it’s me - I broke it😩).
Soon they’ll be wrapped up in copper foil! Once that happens they’ll be ready for the next stage of their journey.🪶

It’s been a busy day of glass, soldering, grinding, and a touch of fairy dust here in the studio. ✨

Good Morning!

After an extended weekend getaway, I’m home again! I hope to be back in the glass studio today❤️

This trip was a beautiful journey down memory lane while also creating new memories along the way!
There’s something special about revisiting familiar places, remembering the past, and still finding moments that feel brand new❤️!!!

The pup’s were happy to have me back and honestly, I was just as happy to see them 🐕‍🦺🐶🦮❤️

And my feathered friends… 🦉🦉 The pair of owls have returned, and this morning I’m hearing what sounds like a third owl joining in! Nature has a way of reminding us that there is always something new to discover, even when we’re right at home! 🌱☀️🌻🦉

So today, I’m grateful - grateful for the memories made, the memories revisited, the wagging tails, the familiar sounds, and the simple comfort of being home.

Good morning!

It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle/bustle of every day life.
Every now and again, we all need to pause and reset!
Enjoying time and taking a stroll down memory lane!

I will return to the glass studio mid week.

The 🐕‍🦺🐶🦮’s did not like their routine changed 😳
We were out for sunrise but I was cleaning windows.
Maggie sat watching me, Fiona and Barley were restless and paced. Fiona then sat by the chair I usually sit in, I might add she looked rather 😔.

Even though overcast, I love the glimpse of colors.

While cleaning windows I came across the tracks of a content frog last night who camped out on the window!
It was a big tree or cuban frog. I’m not a fan…

Woken up way too early… but coffee in bed makes it a little easier to ease into the morning. ☕️

A sneak peek
Solder is not done and is a wee bit rough - I was anxious to see it with some sunlight behind it. the cloud coverage was moving in - so I took my chance!

I hope when I’m done I can get a picture that does it justice! Between the textured iridized glass and the dichroic gemstone framed in a dark blue milky glass this piece sparkles and glistens as the light shine through it.
Such a beauty, definitely one of my favorites!

Cheers to the thought of crisp mornings, beautiful sunsets, and making memories along the way.
