We recently welcomed several new paintings by Micah Crandall-Bear to Illumine Galleryยฎ, and theyโ€™re even more beautiful in person.

Micah has such a remarkable way of working with color and light. His atmospheric landscapes feel familiar, but thereโ€™s something about the way he layers color that makes you want to keep looking.

I love seeing them all together. Each painting has its own personality, but thereโ€™s something wonderful about the way the colors move from one to the next.

For Laura Browning, water is more than a subject. It is a study in light, movement, and the way a familiar landscape can shift from one moment to the next.

Her paintings capture the luminous quality of water with remarkable clarity. Reflections ripple across the surface, sunlight moves through layers of blue, and the boundary between abstraction and realism begins to disappear.

There is an immediate sense of escape in Lauraโ€™s work, but also something quieter. A reason to linger, look a little longer, and notice the light.
