I am SO excited to share the interior design of this home. Lots of love and care went into every decision. Whether it was tile, plumbing, cabinet layouts, or lighting- every angle of this home was thought through. Being a spec build means the home needed to feel unique enough to attract a buyer, but simple enough to add your own flair after it’s purchased. Now it is all buttoned up and ready for the new homeowners to move in. ✨

My friends at worked hard to make sure this home was safe, comfortable, and built with integrity. They took every detail seriously, taking care to ensure the home would stand the test of time. 🛠️

Color drenching is all the rage right now, and honestly I totally understand why. 💕 As we move away from accent walls, we push into fully committing to your design and using paint to create a bold and harmonious space.

Color drenching is when you paint all the architectural surfaces in a space one color. It envelopes you in the space and makes a statement. Instead of having a harsh line between your walls and ceiling, it’s as if that line is blurred. This creates an expansive look. This powder room is small, but feels so much better with this little trick.

Remember that paint is one of the most inexpensive yet powerful tools in design. It’s easy to change, while making a huge visual impact.

-painters tape bracelet
-measuring tape pocket accessory
-sunglasses 🕶️

Honorable mentions are the marker and pencil in my pocket! Having a pocket to put things in is also important and not always there on dress pants.

You’ll never see shower tile and niches the same way after this video. 🤯 Yes- it is extra work to make a custom niche box, but it is so worth it! We all love clean lines, lots of space for products, and not having an OCD meltdown because your tile is chopped up into a million pieces. Keep the peace and let your shower thoughts roam free - ditch the standard boxes.

Coursing the niche with your tile means every shower gets a different box size. Your labor cost will increase slightly, but it shouldn’t be drastic. And for the look you get - it’s an absolute must.

Mention this to your installer and contractor before walls are closed so they can avoid conflicts with plumbing and electrical lines. It’s always better to be proactive than reactive!

And just like that, the year is over! 🥂

Full transparency- this year was a leap of faith for me. I went full time working for myself and traded security for uncertainty. Let me tell you, I am SO glad I did. They say the best things are on the other side of fear; so far “they” are right.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and this business. I truly love what I do and I am looking forward to many more years of doing it!

Last night I was feeling the Christmas spirit as reflected on the day. My pups were ecstatic over new toys and bones. I saw my husband’s face light up as he opened his gifts and shared all about them with my parents. We ate dinner by candle light, and I roasted my first leg of lamb. (And it was actually yummy!) I hope your day was filled with just as much light and love.

I also hope you aren’t sick of seeing these photos of the holiday home tour (bc im not)! It was so much fun putting this together, and added to my list of gratitude for this season.
