This is one of those Crock Pot dinners that tastes like somebody’s grandma has been cooking all afternoon.

Tender shredded chicken, soft egg noodles and that thick, creamy sauce make this pure old-school comfort food.

Add 3 chicken breasts, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 2 cups chicken broth, 2 tablespoons butter, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to the slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 5–6 hours, then shred the chicken. Stir in 12 oz egg noodles and cook until tender, about 20–30 minutes. Finish with 1/2 cup sour cream and season with salt to taste.

No fancy ingredients. Just a warm bowl of creamy chicken and noodles that makes you want seconds before you’ve finished the first.
