Kentucky Ingenuity! Many remember the old Bluegrass Seed Harvester / St****er (at left, invented by R.C.King in Carlisle circa 1870) that later on was hung on the front porch for tools or maybe an unofficial mail box. Take a look at an enterprising example (on the right) where a Kentuckian replaced the metal teeth with a wood panel for the mailman’s comfort/safety, added a lid and, for good measure, labeled it an official US Mail receptacle. Gotta love it! ****er

POST UPDATED with photos from Rogers Barde and James Cowan of all the amazing progress being made inside the ! is so proud of in we could just burst! , Duncan Tavern Historic Center and friends collaborated to draw people to Paris to highlight Paris’ on Oct 3 …at NO CHARGE. The outcome was amazing, and Loch Lea doesn’t mind to admit we had a Christmas-in-October day of sales. Thank you, one and all!
