"their eagerness to be wild and perfect for a moment, before they are nothing, forever"- Mary Oliver. Every element is carefully considered and each arrangement is created as a living sculpture. Marisa looks to juxtapose the obvious beauties with the oddities of the floral world- her style is unexpected and nuanced. She strives to work with seasonal blooms and forages for local elements to use in
her florals. About Marisa Bosquez-White:
Marisa grew up in a tiny Texas town where cotton bloomed and the sounds of insects lulled her to sleep. She spent much of her childhood outside- observing nature and trying to understand its magic. She especially loved flowers. Her grandmother had a small yard full of unkept, lush, over grown rose bushes. Needless to say, Marisa's favorite flowers are roses. Her only desire was to be an artist, so she left Texas to study Fashion Design at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She immersed herself in fashion and art. After over a decade in the fashion industry, designing mostly jewelry in the corporate world, she decided to try her hand at flowers and found her true passion. Marisa draws on fashion and art in her floral work- she takes inspiration from the runway and countless photographers and artists. She experiments with color, texture and silhouette thinking of each arrangement as ephemeral art. She is a self taught florist and stylist. Services:
