Do other knitters feel a desire to knit in other places? The ocean, by a lake while a campfire burns…in a coffee shop…outside a cafe, while the city rushes by…every single place you go? What is it about knitting that causes this? For me it isn’t a desire to finish the project…it’s the act of knitting in these places… why is that???

FRIENDS ~ I HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS!!! The Gazette is returning for Three Creative Issues A Year!!!

I am pleased to tell you that I have decided to publish three special seasonal issues a year. :)

Each issue highlights the four months following its release date, with seasonal content and holiday celebrations.

The Autumn & Winter Issue will ship in mid-August 2026, (September through December)

The Late Winter & Early Spring Issue will ship in mid-January 2027, (January through April)

The Spring & Summer Issue will ship in mid-April 2027, (May through August)

**The gazette is printed on tabloid size (11x17) aged Parchment paper. Each issue will be four pages (ie..two tabloid size pages, front and back). Each issue will come tied with a lovely ribbon and shipped via 6 x 9” brown kraft envelope. :)**

The Little Brown House Gazette is a charming mailed publication I create, filled with a bit of news from my creative life in Vermont, glimpses of family moments, favorite recipes, a short story, inspiring quotes, and beautiful antique and vintage graphics. Each issue also includes a complete stitching pattern, which might be for wool applique, punch needle embroidery, or a simple sewing project. I have also been known to include a paper project I feel you might enjoy.

Why are tiny things so much cuter? I made this adorable baby Alpaca cardigan and wool hat for a family members little girl, who is due to arrive in August. I am so pleased with how they came out.

I did a flannel button band made from an antique child’s slip that I have had for years. I also added little flannel underarm triangles, inside the sweater, mainly to hide where I wove in the ends. :).

The sweater is made with Cloudberry Baby Alpaca. The little pink wool hat is . I’m afraid I do not remember the name, or where I purchased, the pink yarn 🙄.
