Good morning. I’ve been admiring some of my new fabrics I’ve found recently. It is a mental process to pair them with the size and shape of the lampshade frame. Honestly, buying the fabric is the most fun in here, and designing comes next, then the prep work and then the making and lastly the trimming which no doubt is the hardest and most time consuming. I’m open till 5 today. Pawlet Village, VT. A good day to poke around. I had to laugh, week days they have been paving RT 30 and yesterday it was held up for a bit, which can be helpful crossing to the post office! A NJ cat asked me how long the line of traffic was, I said I have no idea, but just chill you are in VT and it’s beautiful out!!!!! Yikes. If he’d only looked around and saw the beautiful mill dam that has carved thru the rocks right outside his door.

RIP Mom. 93. This is how I want to remember her! At Sugarloaf, skis in hand or good and dirty in the garden. She was the Mom that everyone wanted. I am amazed we got our little adventure to Ogunquit in August. I had a gut feeling I’d be back to Maine soon. Yesterday I left for home a few hours before she died. She had the most loving caregivers with Zoe and her crew. Grateful. When I would drive back to VT I always called her when I got back. Not this time.

Beauty of a day! Got lots to show you. This is put together but not finished. Love the Ukrainian cross stitch w blue ticking on the back 5 panels. It’s the colors and the density of the fabric! Inspiring for me! Shop is closed on Wednesday.
