This 2800 SF ranch home we built recently was the common situation where the homeowners came to us with architectural plans that didn't fit their lot or their budget.

So we redesigned it to hit both marks while maintaining many of the custom designed elements they wanted. Namely, in this case, we took a garage located on the side and put it under the house. 9' foundation walls maintain the height of the garage, and they saved money on fill material and overall building size. They compromised on having a flight of stairs from the garage, but it was worth it!

ADU - Accessory dwelling units are now allowed by right throughout the entire state of Massachusetts.

That means you could build this Floorplan in your yard for anyone to live in. Keep in mind that standard building setbacks and laws apply, and you may need to upgrade or add a septic system.
