"Why I Build with Purpose"

In 2019, I lost my dad to suicide, which profoundly changed my life.

Woodworking became a means to heal and create meaning from my pain. Each piece I craft is a reflection of that purpose—a renewal of the mind.

Lining this one with cedar, so it smells right and holds up over time. Next up is a worn navy stain — going for that aged, worked-in look instead of a flat new finish.

I used AI to help with this goal. I've had this written down since 2021—the "why" will make the "how" possible. I believe in manifesting dreams. My dad isn't the only reason I started this business; yes, it's one reason, but I needed a purpose in life. I've had this entrepreneur bug ever since I was a kid. The ultimate goal is freedom to do what I want when I want and to delegate this into a franchise-style business that works.

Finished a batch of these tonight.

White wooden tree, lantern hanging in the middle — and yes, it lights up. Cardinal sitting under it with the berries and a little silver on top.

'A cardinal appears when an angel is near.'

That's the whole point of this one. For the empty chair at Christmas.
