We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with everyone!! Food, gifts, games, laughter and hugs! Topped it off with a stop from one of Santa’s reindeer!

I wanted to reshare this and say Congratulations to my friend Susan. Channel 23 WIFR just called requesting an interview with her about her passion project 'Appleseeds'. Seeds of love in the shape of a lap quilt, hand made by loving hands of volunteers and sent all across the country to the laps of foster children whom are needing a spark of hope and the comfort of love that comes from a stranger who cares. Last year they met their goal of 1000 quilts made and distributed clear out to California and also the the east coast. (Susie may need to clarify). The Appleseeds need our help. They need cash to be able to send the quilts out, to purchase the binding that seals the edges of the quilts, for basic operating expenses. "Buddy can you spare a dime?" Each lap quilt can be valued at between $10-15. I have the donation details in a private message. snail mail or Venmo.

Great news… We were able to reach our goal of 1,000 Appleseeds by 12-21-2021. Last year at this time Susie Appleseed was only a dream. I couldn’t have done it without all of your help and encouragement!! We have approximately 80 of them to be quilted and binding put on,but we will start on them after the holidays for next year. Thank you again for the help and donations toward material,binding, and postage. Merry Christmas to you and your families!

Susie and her ladies have been very busy making Appleseeds. A call came in from a California low income NICU, special hospital unit for babies, they are requesting 400 Appleseeds. We want so badly to fulfill this order but we need some help. If you know a quilter or can donate fabric to the cause, we will accept help in any form right at this moment.

Susie delivering appleseeds in Iowa. So far she has delivered to 2 places in Texas, Iowa, Wisconsin. She also left appleseeds in Tennessee for families affected by the flooding. Her goal is to spread appleseeds across the country.

These are a few of the adorable appleseeds that have been made. They are approximately 15 to 18 inches made to provide security, love, and hope to little ones in need. They have been made by a wonderful group of ladies. It has been fun to see all the different ideas and creativity.
