ANNOUNCEMENT

We are sorry to share that the October 14th show has been cancelled. A combination of personal circumstances and factors outside our control have led us to this difficult decision.

We so appreciate the enthusiasm and support shown by you all. While there are no firm plans for the future, we will keep the newsletter list and page up, and keep you posted about future possibilities.

Regards,
Doug & Teri Hedrick, & Kelsey Anilee Smith

This week let's meet one of the promoters! Anilee Smith is a local artist who loves her plants, both native plants and what she grows in her gardens. These botanical subjects are featured in watercolor or in painted and embroidered textiles. She does most everything by hand, a trait she inherited from her mother, Rebekah L. Smith. She will have a booth at the show and is currently working on the marketing (which may include, you know, writing these posts). She will also be putting together the exhibit of her mother's work which will be on display at the show. Mark your calendars for this amazing event, October 14th, 2023! This week let's meet Teri & Doug Hedrick of Peninsula Village Antiques, LLC. They started the shop in April of 2022, and it is just a few doors down from our venue, the Old Boston Township Hall. Doug has a knack for deals and delightful displays, and Teri keeps us all in line and organized while also making incredible wool projects (all at the same time). Though the show is not until October 14th, 2023, the antique shop is open every week, so make sure to check them out to get a preview of what kinds of amazing antiques will be at the show!

Have you put October 14th, 2023 on your calendar? A central part of this event will be an exhibit of Rebekah L. Smith's work, curated by her family. Both her painted pieces and wool applique will be featured, including some pieces you have probably never seen.

Rebekah might be one of the reasons the show comes to be at the Old Boston Township Hall. Having used it for a show called A Gathering of Artisans, it was a natural choice for her when she teamed up with Lori Ann Corelis to bring back From Our Hands, a show Lori Ann had promoted in the past. Both Teri & Doug Hedrick of Peninsula Village Antiques, LLC and Kelsey Anilee Smith participated in From Our Hands, and are honored to bring its legacy into a new show, which still has the old flair but is incorporating a more eclectic style, with some new vendors and a new season.

Welcome to a new show with familiar roots! Antiques & Artisans in the Valley is team effort, with Peninsula Village Antiques, LLC and Kelsey Anilee Smith putting this event together. Mark your calendars for October 14, 2023! On that day, at the Old Boston Township Hall, a group of talented artists and quality antique dealers will be set up for a beautiful shopping experience in a historic space. Along with that, the Smith family will be sharing an exhibit of some of Rebekah L. Smith Folk Artist's works. In honor of Rebekah, who passed away in April of 2022, some of the proceeds of the show will be going to the Gathering Place, an organization that helps families who are going through a cancer journey with a loved one.

A website will be coming soon, but in the meantime sign up for our email newsletter to stay updated! https://tinyurl.com/AAV2023

Announcing a new show, coming October 14th, 2023! Antiques & Artisans in the Valley is bringing (you guessed it!) quality antiques and beautiful art in the historic Old Boston Township Hall in Peninsula, Ohio. This first year is a tribute to my mother, Rebekah L. Smith Folk Artist, and the show will feature a special exhibit of her works curated by myself and my family.

Peninsula Village Antiques, LLC and I are hosting this event together. We hope you will mark your calendars and join us for this wonderful event.
