Going to another Fashenhues certification. As you know, I received my first certification years ago. I am excited to meet new people, learn new tricks and gain different perspectives, as each teacher offers new insight. I do these retreats not only for the love painting, but also so I can continue to bring fresh ideas to my students. This is what I always suggest if you are interested in getting started with Fashenhues.

Learn how to apply pan pastels or artists chalks over a glazed piece to create a soft, porcelain-like finish, similar to Precious Moments. This piece was glazed, fired, and then sprayed with a matte spray to take away the sine and texture, making the chalk stick.

Another truck run for shelving units.

This year has been a little crazy. We started off the year thinking we were headed in one direction with the business, and then had to pivot when things didn't go as planned (sometimes what you want isn't the best for you). We are harvesting the lemons and turning those babies into the best damn lemonade you will ever taste. We may even add a little strawberry :-)
