Four years, and I can finally say it, I’m officially done with my bachelor’s program.
It doesn’t even feel real. These past four years have been full of so many obstacles, challenges, and moments where I wasn’t sure how I was going to keep going. Life threw so many things at me along the way, but I kept showing up.
Balancing life, teaching, responsibilities, surgeries, and everything in between wasn’t easy, but I pushed through anyway. Every late night, every assignment, every moment of doubt led me right here.
And while I’ve already been in the classroom doing what I love, this still means everything to me. I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished, and doing it while maintaining a 4.0 GPA makes it even more special.
I’m also so grateful for my family and friends who supported me, lifted me up, and reminded me to keep going when things felt heavy. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.
This wasn’t just about a degree. It was about resilience. About proving to myself that no matter what came my way, I could keep going and finish what I started.
Here’s to growth, strength, and the next chapter. 💛

This is what my brain feels like these days, a million things stacked on top of each other, trying to figure out how to get out and move forward.
What happened to me and my family wasn’t just a scary moment, it completely changed us. In an instant, everything felt different. The way I drive, the way I look at the people around me, the way I carry myself through the world, it all shifted. Something that should have been routine turned into something I’ll never forget.
I’m still processing it. Still trying to make sense of how quickly life can flip upside down. One moment you’re fine, and the next you’re left picking up pieces you didn’t even know could break.
I’m grateful to be here. Truly. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t leave something behind in me.
Life can change in a second. Hold your people close. Be kind. And don’t take a single moment for granted.

You never really know how something is going to affect you after a traumatic moment, until it does.
A whistle.
The sharp sound of a volleyball getting hit.
A student popping open a milk carton.
Driving on the freeway at night.
Driving alone.
Things that used to feel so normal now hit differently. They catch me off guard, make my heart race, and remind me that healing isn’t always loud or obvious, it shows up in the smallest, most unexpected ways.
Most days, I feel like I’m just faking it until I make it, trying to move through the moments, keep showing up, and find my way back to feeling like myself again.
I’m learning that it’s okay to not be “back to normal.” It’s okay to take a second, to breathe, to feel it, and to keep moving forward anyway.
And I’m really, really grateful for the people who understand that, who don’t question it, don’t judge it, and just stand beside me through it all.
Healing isn’t linear. But I’m still here, still trying, and that has to count for something 🤍
