Mini practice resin pours, in preparation for creating the piece pictured below. I haven’t resin poured in a while (since the last big piece I did a year ago.) I need to remind myself how resin behaves, explore how the colors I want will work together (which is heavier/lighter than which) and how best to approach creating the piece overall. Definitely will be a few layers, in order to get the look and feel I want.

Off to a good start, I think, with these initial efforts to create lily pads…whaddaya’ll think?

From my initial thumbnail sketch (created using my phone’s camera app to draw -with my thumb - the resin mural I plan to make)…Progress has begun! Installed white marble mosaic tile on the wall where the vanity will go, and mother-of-pearl tile on the back wall of the niches in the shower. Also sourced waterproof LED fixtures (one in the top of the large niche for additional Lumens in the shower area, and one in the ceiling near the mural, to support the impression of light that I will be creating in the mural. Next up: wall tile!
