Grass Roots is heading downtown for Art Show on the Fringe, 10–6 at Big Daddy Graphics. We’ll have a booth with some of our favorite reclaimed and reimagined pieces.

We’re taking Grass Roots downtown this Saturday!

Our shop will be CLOSED Saturday, August 15 while we’re at Art Show on the Fringe. Come find us downtown instead!

We’re excited to be an addition to the show, happening alongside Perrysburg Hearts the Arts this weekend. We’ll have a small collection of one-of-a-kind pieces made from reclaimed, salvaged and found materials.

🐦 Meet our newest maker, Henry Martinez

Henry brought in a group of his handmade birdhouses, and we were pretty taken with them.

He starts with found logs and branches and turns them into these wonderfully unique houses. Take a close look at the photos because there are so many good details. Branch handles, interesting pieces of wood and even an old porcelain electrical insulator worked into one of them.

And Henry has really thought about how they'll be used. The houses have ventilation and clean-out access, and he's even made his own sturdy yard stakes for some of them.

These would make a pretty great gift for a bird lover, gardener or someone who appreciates something truly handmade. Maybe even one to tuck away for a gift later this year.

Our photos show some of the details, but you really do need to see these in person. Come in and take a look.

Lots to look at around the shop right now.

More local makers and vendors are bringing things our way, so you’ll find an ever-changing mix of rugs, lamps, small tables, benches, handmade pieces, vintage finds, plenty of odds and ends, and some new birdhouses too.

If you’re out and about today, stop in and have a look around. Grass Roots is also a great place to find a gift that’s a little out of the ordinary.
