Our newest window display - a storybook classic, Frog and Toad. 📚 Come stop in to say hi to these marvelous new friends! As always, we (Alisha & Angie) had so much fun putting this display together and couldn’t stop giggling through the process.

Thank you SO MUCH to our wonderful customer, Jennifer Downing, for recreating scaled up versions of Frog & Toad for us! Frog & Toad’s little crafting session wouldn’t be complete with out tea and a lace table covering from Anna, Alisha’s moms collection of childhood Golden Books and Alisha and Angie’s family inherited kids rocking chairs!

To honor and celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day today, I would like to highlight a gallery based in Telluride that supports Native American textiles and jewelry with an emphasis on Navajo artisans and includes a robust collection of antique pieces from prior to the 1900s. The Gordon Collection

I had have the honor of visiting this gallery multiple times and members of my family who spent 18 years living on a Navajo reservation now work here to help spread the knowledge and history of this work in an effort to keep it alive.

If you ever visit Colorado, put this on your must visit list! Go in end of September/Early a October and get incredible views of the mountains undergoing their transformation in preparation for winter.

Lets keep fiber arts alive and pass these skills on to younger generations! We now have weekly kids and teens knitting and crochet workshops!

Crochet Tuesdays and Knitting Wednesdays afterschool program for kids taught by Sam. Classes are 4 weeks long, designed to really build a foundational skill set and work on a project!

Our next session starts in October and space is limited in order to keep the classes small so each student gets adequate attention!

During a time in history where a focus on technology is so strong and infused into our education system, it is crucial to keep the youth using their hands to make things! It’s vital for children to learn how to be patient and have a tangible thing they get to watch grow with their focus and hard work. Knitting and crochet isn’t just “cool”. It’s a skill that will help them develop life skills.

This woven rug has been such a fun evolution of fabric scraps!

It first began (see slides 3-4) as a rainbow fun window display for Pride 2025. 🏳️‍🌈 I spent $35 on fabric scraps from The Legacy Sewing and Crafts in Sebastopol.

Then, after the window display came down, I turned these fabric scraps into even smaller scraps and wove a rag rug for my home! 🌈

Curious about weaving? We still have a few spaces remaining in our fall classes!
