About 8 years ago I met this incredible human being. She has such a kind, soft and passionate soul. She is silly, talented and strong.

When I first met her, she was a kindergarten teacher and was looking to find ways to express her creativity. That’s when she took her first yarn dyeing class at the studio back when we were in Cotati. Immediately she felt inspired and that she had found her calling. Since then she’s been dyeing beautiful, unique yarns that people love.

We don’t get to see her in person very often, and I am so excited that she’ll be at the shop (with yarn) this Saturday, June 13, from 11-2!

Grab a project, bring a chair and enjoy the company of other crafters!

We’ll also be having a trunk show of Playful Day Yarns at the shop all weekend!

*sound on!* 🌧️ Today there was a shift in the winds and Mother Earth had a wonderful release of rain on the land here in Northern California. I feel profoundly connected to nature and am grateful for the spaciousness I have today to let this rain be a reminder of what it means to slow down.

I moved my loom by an open door and worked on hemstitching my weaving project while listening to the rhythms of the rain beating down on Earth like drums. The sound of the linen threads gliding against each other. The shift in aroma of the air and my breathing deepening to really smell it. Meditation.

The busy-ness of everyday life can have a way of taking over. Craft is an incredible tool for slowing down as it asks for undivided attention while something new is being created.

Today’s creation is threads being woven together to create a strong and functional piece of cloth. I am remembering to slow down and enjoy the process, not just strive for the end result.

A sweet little reminder that applies to life too. 🧶 🧵

Community Yarn Stash Sale is out and ready to be shopped! We’ve collected tons of unused yarn from over 20 people in our fiber community to bring you this de stash event. Doors open Friday May 15 at 11am.

Please share this with all your yarn lover friends!!! Our goal is to rehome ALL of this yarn so it can be knit, crocheted or woven into life!

Big shout out to Angie and DJ for helping prep for this big event! This year we’ve taken in the most yarn than we ever have. 🙌🏻 🧶

Our annual Community Yarn Stash Sale event starts this Friday! People have gone through their stashes, picked out yarn they no longer feel inspired by and we’ve been busy collecting it!

May 15-17 buy quality yarns at over 50% off their retail price! Prices start as low as $1 per skein! Most yarns are under $10, and hand dyed yarns are less than $20.

Saturday is also the American Graffiti Car Show! Come check out yarn and cool, classic cars! 🚗 🧶
