Our Kids & Teens Knitting & Crochet Program is finally here!!

We’ve spent much time searching for the perfect fit to bring a monthly (4 series) workshop to the children and teens in our community.

Sam will be teaching classes every Tuesday and Wednesday. Over the course of 4 weeks, students will learn the basics or gain new skills if they already know the basics and will have the opportunity to work on a project that inspires them.

Crochet on Tuesdays
Ages 7-12 ~ 3:30 - 4:30
Ages 13 - 17 ~ 4:30 - 5:30

Knitting on Wednesdays
Ages 7-12 ~ 3:30 - 4:30
Ages 13 - 17 ~ 4:30 - 5:30

We also offer kids (ages 5-12) single classes with Kira on Sundays in finger knitting, wet felting, weaving and more!

Personal update 🌟

Inside of each of us is a voice that tells us when to speed up and when to slow down, but it’s up to us to listen.

The past 2 years, I chose to listen to the voice that was begging me to slow down, to simplify, to bring my focus to my relationships and self.

That’s meant I’ve shown up less around the shop and online. My silence has represented a shift of my relationship with the business. Separating my personal identity from Fiber Circle Studio has been both challenging and positively life changing. For the first 6 years of the business, we were one of the same and somewhere along the way I realized that even though my work is an important part of who I am, I, Alisha, am so much more than my work.

These last 2 years have opened spaces inside myself that feel important in achieving a balanced, satisfying life. Connection and self expression through color, deep and flowing love for my children, pursuit of healthy, romantic love, endless hours in nature and lots of silliness.

I’ve been wandering a lot off trail - exploring both familiar and unfamiliar places both internally and externally, energetically and physically. Something inside me has awoken.

My intention over the next year is to come back into Fiber Circle Studio with a renewed sense of self, inspiration and commitment while holding and bringing with me what I’ve learned and embodied.

Grateful for all those who have been by my side along this journey! 😘🌟🫶🏻🌈

Absolutely beautiful work from our weaving students! They’re currently in an 8 week course learning a technique called krokbragd with Marta Shannon !

Krokbragd is a traditional Scandinavian weave - primarily a Swedish and Norwegian technique used for blankets, bed coverlets and rugs. The term of this weave structure translates to “crooked lines” and is expressed through geometric designs.

Fiber Circle Studio is looking for a new member to join our team! We are hiring for a new Yarn Boss (aka: shop manager). If you have the dream of running a yarn store but are intimated by or uninterested in the full basket of responsibilities of owning your own store, this job is for you!

A note about our existing manager, Angie. She will still be a part of the Fiber Circle Studio team but with fewer responsibilities as she explores the next chapter in her work life. My gratitude is immense for her time, energy, and love that has gone into the shop these last few years.
