A Fond Farewell to Ms. Jackie 🧡

Last month, we said a bittersweet farewell to a very special member of the Needles & Bolts family, Ms. Jackie, as she gets ready for her next adventure in Costa Rica!

Jackie was our very first instructor — meeting with me when Needles & Bolts was still more idea than actual shop and saying yes to being part of what we were building. Since then, she’s taught, encouraged, problem-solved, cheered on my wild ideas, and created the Curvy Fit Clinic, helping so many sewists feel more confident making clothes that fit their bodies.

She’s also been the kind of person who shows up with a birthday cake, a meal for a long shop day, or an offer to help before you even know you need it.

We’re going to miss having her in the Maker Space, but we are so grateful that she was part of Needles & Bolts from the very beginning. We sent her off over dinner with lots of laughs, a few tears and plenty of love.

Safe travels, Ms. Jackie. Costa Rica is lucky to have you. 🧡
