A few years ago, I moved into my house in Germantown and turned the basement into my reptile den. That whole project included removing a good ton of concrete and leveling the floor. After doing so, there was a noticeable step up between the floor in the main room and the laundry room and bathroom. I've been meaning to make this threshold ever since 😂 well, yesterday, I finally got around to it and it took a whole hour and a half 💀 I think it looks great!

I've spent the last couple weeks trying to figure out what the best course is in the way of a stand for this sign. I found a couple camera poles that I thought would work but the sign itself was too heavy so the little pole didn't really cut it 😂 but then I remembered my mom gave me this random maple curtain rod like 8 years ago that's just been moving with me from place to place. I had no use for it but couldn't bring myself to throw it away. Well, I finally found a use for it! My favorite thing about this sign is it's made entirely from recycled material. A few years ago, I bought a bunch of coffee wood and made a pair of matching tables and a chest. They looked awesome! But, the material itself was flawed and within about a month, the tables both started cracking. I replaced them for the client and saved the wood thinking, "I'll find something to do with it eventually." The base and the arrow are made from that! The sign itself is made of elm from a mini bench top that I'd made a few years ago. I honestly can't even remember what it used to be at this point, but again, I couldn't bring myself to toss it. So, it hung out for a while until I came up with this. I'm pretty stoked to bring this to expos with me!
