IEI is honored to have provided architectural and design services on the historic renovation of the iconic Curtis Institute of Music, located at 1726 Locust Street in center city Philadelphia, recently showcased in the Philadelphia Inquirer. The project includes a building addition, roof improvements, interior alterations, modern upgrades, and restoration of beautiful historical details for this internationally-recognized music conservatory. The original structure dates back to 1924 and is historically registered with the Philadelphia Historical Commission. Curtis wanted to make the building more accessible and open to students and visitors, and we are so proud to be a part of this project. Click to read the full article!

IEI Group ranks 14th in local women-owned businesses! The firm jumped up several spots this year from 30th to 14th (rankings are based on 2020 revenue). IEI has regularly ranked on this annually-published list by the Philadelphia Business Journal since 2010.

Congratulations to Tiphani Hodges on her NCIDQ certification! We are so proud of her!

Tiphani is also our August employee spotlight. She has 6 years of experience in interior architecture and brings strong abilities for coordinating across disciplines to IEI. Tiphani is skilled at implementing standards and procedures to achieve quality work while using brand identity to develop unique conceptual designs. Her excellent AutoCAD skills, expertise in Revit, and high level of detail and documentation make her a valuable part of any project, and an asset to IEI.

April’s employee spotlight is on Helen Chung, our social media cheerleader!

Helen has been at, and grown with, IEI for over 16 years. Helen leads the in-house marketing efforts for IEI’s proposals, presentations, collateral materials, website and social media. And if that isn’t enough, she handles office administration and provides support to the many other aspects of the day-to-day operations. Because of her innate graphical ability, project teams lean on Helen for assistance in non-technical project deliverables.

We are fortunate to have Helen as part of our team! Prior to joining IEI, she worked at various Philly ad agencies. In her spare time, she enjoys making crafts and helping charities, such as The Dude Hates Cancer. Check out her current project Masks Simply!
