Our team is growing again, and we have several open roles.

We ask that you read thoroughly before applying. We won’t be able to review submissions that do not include the requested information. All roles are on-site, in-house roles. Remote, relocation, contract basis, or temp/seasonal not available at this time

Benefits for full-time roles include: medical and dental insurance with 50% employer contribution, and 401k with employer match.

Sales Associate: Full-time & Part-time
Must have weekend availability. Minimum for part-time is 3 full days per week.
This role assists customers with all their stitching needs, does thread pulls for orders, and supports other departments.
You should be a positive and friendly person who is excited to work with a wide variety of people on an even wider variety of projects. This is a very active role in a large space. You must feel comfortable constantly moving throughout your shift.

Fulfillment Associate: Full-time, must have weekend availability.
This role is responsible for the picking, packing, and shipping of ecomm and finishing orders. They also process incoming shipments, tag and stock goods. 1-2 year’s experience in similar role preferred. Familiarity with Shopify and Shipstation or like platforms helpful. Must be able to work quickly and accurately with strong problem-solving skills. This is a very active role, you must feel comfortable constantly moving throughout your shift and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Finishing Associate: Full-time & Part-time
Must have weekend availability. Minimum for part-time is 3 full days per week.
Must have experience with both hand and machine sewing, and be able to present examples of your work (any kind: tailoring, soft sculpture, quilting, etc). Understanding of basic sewing terminology necessary.

Rittenhouse Destash is now fully live!

Shop over 700 canvases from other stitchers’ stashes.

In case you missed it, Rittenhouse Destash is a platform where you can sell your canvases and buy from other people’s stashes. Or choose the trade-in program where you can trade your canvases for store credit.

Some of the advantages of Rittenhouse Destash include:
-Rittenhouse Destash offers protections for both the buyer and seller that you don’t get in a social resale group.

-The process is quick and easy. Just snap a picture with your phone and answer a few questions. If you purchased the canvas from us, or the canvas is in our extensive catalog, the process is even easier as you can select from your purchase history or search in our catalog.

-You set the price for your listings and get 80% of the selling price in cash or choose store credit and get 110% of the selling price! Store credit is good on everything except gift cards – yes, including finishing and pre-orders.

-Your listings will be seen by tons and tons of fellow stitchers, and the platform will be marketed regularly. This should make it easier to quickly move those unwanted canvases out of your stash and into the hands of another stitcher.

-On trade-in’s, you’ll receive a set percentage of the original retail price based on condition. The process is just as easy and even faster as you don’t have to wait for the item to sell. Note: Do not bring your canvases into the shop for trade-in. You must complete the trade-in process on the platform. No exceptions.

We welcome all kinds of canvases including vintage styles. The canvases do not have to have been purchased from Rittenhouse. The only styles we not accept are stitch painted copies, or that feature unlicensed artwork and logos such as sports teams, luxury brands, cans of soda, etc.

We currently only accept unstitched needlepoint canvases, but we’ll add tools, accessories, & books soon, as well as partially stitched canvases. Threads are more complicated, but we’re working on it.

Rittenhouse Destash launches Thursday, May 21st at 9am EST!

Every needlepoint canvas represents hours of work by an artist before you even thread your first needle. Rittenhouse Destash is our way of bringing canvases out of the drawers and closets and getting them the attention they deserve.

You will be able to sell your canvases and buy from other people’s stashes. Or choose the trade-in program where you can trade your canvases for store credit that you can use for anything you want: find a new project, kit a canvas, or even use towards finishing!

Help us get our platform stocked & ready for launch by listing your unstitched canvases now! The process is quick and easy - snap a picture & answer a few questions. If you purchased the canvas from us, or the canvas is in our catalog of 35,000+ styles, it’s even easier – just select the item from your purchase history or search it in our catalog.

You set the price for your listings and get 80% of the selling price in cash or choose store credit and get 110% of the selling price! Once sold, pack & ship your item with the prepaid label. You’ll receive your funds after the canvas is received & verified.

We have Jumbuck!

This plush, silk and wool blend from Dinky Dyes just arrived in the shop. Jumbuck is hand dyed which gives each color dimension and tonal variegation. Check out all those pretty colors!

This fluffy thread is such a lovely stitch giving nice coverage on both 13 and 18 mesh. It’s also a great value at $5.50 per skein.
