Lightwerk Labs was founded in 2003 by club lighting designer Adam Manfredi. It was conceived in order to provide the nightclub & bar industry a one-stop-shop solution for providing cutting edge lighting products as well as design and installation services. The company now serves the entire metro phoenix and surrounding areas. Lightwerk Labs also supplies fog and haze fluids to venues throughout th

e valley at wholesale pricing. In 2010 the company began fabrication of creative and custom metal LED lighting fixtures for both the commercial and residential markets. The majority of our projects begin as "experimental lighting" due to the uniqueness of the end product.

Greetings everyone,

We just finished a build and install I wanted to share. This was a unique and fun build and we have to thank Jeff Perales at Kobalt Bar in Phoenix for the opportunity to design and build a new addition to his show lounge. Jeff and I met about this and he has a specific vision to bring the look of stages you see on popular tv to his live performance venue using some sort of wall panels and incorporating some light source. We tried several ideas and could not come up with what he wanted at first. Then if you know me well, I will go to some extremes to nail the vision for our clients. So, I decided why dont we build this from scratch! And we did just that. We had a pallet of plaster powder delivered to our shop and then found a mold that Jeff approved of and had the molds flown in from Poland. We then started making panels and i believe ended up with 70 total.

The panels, which had to meet certain thickness and density to be modified after hardening, turned out amazing. We then had the task of taking each and every panel and laying them out adhering them to a backboard and painstakingly using a combo of drywall mud and plaster to mold each panel together so they joined as one gigantic single panel on the wall Kobalt. Finally, every panel received a DMX encoder-driven LED fixture able to produce infinite color pallets. Once completed and installed, programming took place to make this wall come alive with color combos adding to the existing light system as yet another element to the growing lighting system we put in a year ago. With the help of Daslight Lighting control software, we built a wide assortment of lighting cues for stage performances.

When looking at recent videos on Kobalt's page you can see what an improvement this had made on the backdrop during performances. It truly raises the bar for Phoenix drag shows, comedy acts, and other live performances performed on their stage. Thanks, Jeff for allowing us to be a part of your vision.

Hello FB, it's been a bit so I figure I would post some projects I did a while back that I never put on here i don't believe. One is the signage at Grand Central Coffee Company (where the famous Amsterdam bar was located). Steven Rogers had completely renovated this space and wanted a sign made that would look like the logo. I enjoy taking logos especially and making 3D signage out of a 2D flat on the paper logo. Below you can see the logo in 2D and how it was blown up into a 3D metal work. All the details of the logo were utilized, including real metal CNC cut hinges, flames, bolts, and the center "C" pop-out made this a fun sign to do. Then we did the individual letters "GRAND" in pan channel boxes and filled them with bent real NEON tubes to preserve the "old school" look Steven was after. Its some old work but I came across them and thought i would share it.

The second set of pictures was done for Mikey's Barber Shop. Mike is a talanted barber and has a fantastic shop up on Union Hills. For those up that way its definitely worth the time to get the ol haircut from Mike or one of his many qualified barbers. Mike wanted a sign made to match his logo and I went to work layering the designing it in my head and how I would duplicate his 2D logo into a 3D metal work, lit up of course big time. This is one of my first logo designs and to this day remains one of my absolute favorites! The design is fresh and it was a pleasure making it for Mike. His reaction and joy when we unveiled it was why I enjoy so much what I do. Let me know what you think!

Hello fb, hope you have a safe 3 day weekend. We are taking a needed rest after installing the newest signage fo come out of our shop. Sazerac in downtown Phoenix which has a very good feel of old and new inside and out and if you haven’t been you should stop by for many signature drinks and enjoy the huge patio and canopies of trees that block out much of the heat of summer. Amazing place and we were given the opportunity to build a needed sign for them l. It started pretty basic but ownership decided to take it a few notches up on glitz and glam.

The sign is composed of highly reflective micro gold glitter flake and red/orange candy over silver arrow. All lights are LED and there’s a ton of them baxk light , front lit channel letters as well as 100 red 10mm gum drop on the arrow. The plexiglass is a special exotic type that in daylight appear to be black but at night allow for full color and light transmission so it will glow any color you want. Pretty cool effect. It does huge for the look during the day and was essential for this build. Could you imagine how not so cute those letters would be in white during the day. Yeah essential.

Ok enjoy and let me know what you think and thank you to Thomas Zeller who put a lot of hard work into building this. I hope you like it as much as we do.

Here is a custom fabrication work we have done recently at BAR 1. Todd, one of the bar owners, and I have worked together on unique and innovative ideas for many years. Todd comes up with ideas that are original and he knows what he wants and always has a vision. my job is to make that vision make it happen and sometimes add a little to surprise him as well.

So if you have been to bar 1 Over the last year and seen the little booth in the corner with a hole in the high back booth … that’s my fault! Todd wanted something cool and original to set into the back of the seat. He left “the original and cool” up to me and I fumbled with some designs but I just couldn’t come up with something I was happy with.

Yes, it took a year and for those that know me to understand that we build anything at Lightwerks I have to get this feeling that tells me a project is headed in the right direction. If I don’t, it’s not right, and we keep working till it happens. It always happens at some point we hope.

The diamond below was the end result. It’s super cool and was the perfect detail that the booth was missing.

The diamond is 1/4” thick 304 stainless steel hand polished to a mirror finish (laboring task). The logo was laser cut out and a tank holding a secret formulation of some liquids that are less dense than water was added along with silver glitter. The small tank was illuminated by some LEDs That would be warm enough to warm the liquid in the tank and as a result, would move the glitter and cycle it around. The effect is like you're looking at a highly polished diamond ring as it catches the light and sparkles. So if you get a chance go see it. It’s a small but artful piece with beautiful organic and kinetic elements mixed in. I will post a video to see the movement! Let me know what you think hope you enjoy it! —Adam

Greetings everyone. It’s been a while for sure sense I posted anything on fb. We have been handling some road blocks that handicapped us from doing what we love to do . However we are all back to normal operations and have sense completed several cool and fun projects. First I want to show some changes we made to one of finest bars and show lounges in our great city KOBALT.

Jeffery Perales owner of Kobalt wanted to spice up and update the rather limited lighting that was put in sense the new bar was built. So we did just that and gave it some light love.

We replaced all the single color warm white LED strip lights with a high output RGBWW strip lighting and used the newest white COB technology to illuminate the edge of all the clear glass shelves. The COB allows for a solid beam of light without led hot spots you typically see with LED strip lights.

Control of all Color layers is done thru the in-house Daslight 4 computer system that also controls all the show and stage lights in the building. Daslight allows fully time and date driven automation and lighting can be completely hands-off with automated open to close lighting cue changes. Truly Endless possibilities.

I don’t have any before pictures so you will just have to trust me it looks spectacular and fun.

Our Fog/Haze Fluids get a packaging "facelift!" 4 highly specific effect fluids are getting ready for retail sales and some well thought out packaging changes which mostly began as requests from our respected customers.

The color system was implemented as more venues house various types of machines for different effects and in low light conditions, the wrong fluid can be easily poured into the wrong machine causing clogging and worse. So now even if you just open the box you will see visual color identifiers from all angles.

All our fluids are now slightly tinted a specific color to match the label and cap. The tint will in no way interfere with the performance of the fluid. No, it does not produce colored smoke. This is for visual ID purposes only and feedback has found this very helpful.

All of our fog/haze fluids have been developed alongside industry professionals and formulated using only the highest quality chemical compounds on earth and blended with the purist DI water available.

More info coming soon as we begin to launch our new website
www.AzFogFactory.com
which is dedicated to fog/haze fluids and related effects. Online ordering will be available as soon as the site is up and you will finally find all of our fluids very soon on Amazon with Prime shipping. In the meantime, if you want to order direct or have product questions or need best pricing don't to hesitate to msg me on Facebook or email us at [email protected]

Greeeetings from Lightwerks this morning. I am hoping everyone is doing well. We are approaching 1million vaccinations here in AZ and my opinion is we just worry about vaccinating as fast as possible. The nightclub and bar industry still of course heavily hit by this microscopic bully. Does anyone remember how to dance and shake their tail feather anymore? Well let’s hope so and my prediction is as soon as they give the ok to open dance floors again the industry will spike higher then pre microscopic bully and we I hope to see some pretty intense parties and overly packed dance floors again so the bar and industry workers can enjoy what we love once again.

Well during this covid mess we were very lucky to not close for good. It has been very Ruff at times of course. But some bar and club owners took this as a very rare time to remodel and we were brought in to do some pretty fun renovation projects. One of which was KARAMBA NIGHTCLUB In Phoenix. I have been associated with this space (here is where I date myself) for over 20 years befoe it was owned by Larry Vansickle snd Bruce as BOOM and even before that when Rick Patrick owned ir and we opened (the new) TRAX. I have a special spot in my heart for this space snd when Karamba wanted to do a cool VIP booth but wanted a special wall made that we built exactly like he wanted but took if a little further and brought it to life. So here are some build pics of the new VIP room divider complete with 100 percent programmability and filled with possibility and of course color. Check it out if you go to the bar and let me know what you think. Sorry I don’t have any video of it yet but it’s very “organic” in it’s movement if that makes sense. Stay safe everyone
