Come as guests, leave feeling right at home. 🤍

When our clients told us they wanted a beautiful, welcoming retreat for their out-of-town guests, we knew it needed to be more than just a spare bedroom.

We wanted to create a space where family and friends could truly relax, unpack, settle in, and feel a little spoiled during their Arizona getaway!

We embraced the beauty of the Southwest with warm wood tones, soft neutral bedding, subtle patterns, and artwork celebrating our beautiful desert landscape.

✨ It’s all in the details!

From the custom window treatments that add softness and personality, to the cozy reading chair, layered bedding, and thoughtfully styled furnishings, every element was selected with comfort in mind.

And let’s not forget the adjoining bathroom! Classic tile, beautiful lighting, and contrasting dark fixtures create a fresh, timeless space that feels like a private retreat.

Because great hospitality starts with making people feel welcome.

A beautiful home doesn’t begin with the furniture. It begins with a thoughtful plan. 🏡

One of the things we love most at Blooming Daisy Interior Design is being involved in a new build from the very beginning. Why? Because we see the whole picture, not just the individual rooms.

Before the walls go up, we’re already thinking about how our clients will actually live in their home.

Where will the furniture go? Are the windows positioned to take advantage of those beautiful Arizona views without limiting furniture placement? Is there enough room for comfortable seating and entertaining? How will one space flow into the next?

These are the details that make all the difference.

In this beautiful new build, we considered every element of the living space. From the stunning stone fireplace and thoughtfully placed windows to the custom drapery, warm leather sectional, layered textures, and inviting furnishings, everything works together to create a home that feels as good as it looks.

We especially love how the expansive windows bring the outdoors in, while the furniture arrangement creates a cozy, intimate gathering space within the open floor plan.

Because great design isn’t just about selecting beautiful finishes. It’s about creating a home that works beautifully for the people who live there.

And that’s why we love collaborating with builders early in the process! We’ve developed wonderful partnerships with local Arizona builders who recognize the value of having an interior designer involved from the start. Together, we can anticipate details, avoid costly changes, and create a more cohesive, thoughtfully designed home.

The finishing touch that makes all the difference! ✨

Have you ever walked into a beautifully furnished room and felt like something was missing? Chances are, it might be the window treatments!

At Blooming Daisy Interior Design, we believe window treatments are the finishing touch that takes a room from beautiful to truly complete.

From elegant, custom drapery that softens a space to tailored Roman shades that add just the right amount of personality, window treatments do so much more than provide privacy and light control.

The best homes aren’t defined by a particular style. They’re defined by the people who live there; the way they gather, the things they love, the memories they’ve collected and
how they want to feel when they walk through the door.

As founder and principal designer of Blooming Daisy Interior Design, Wendy
Longenecker brings that perspective to every custom home, remodel and whole-home furnishings project she leads. Since founding the Phoenix-based firm in 2017, she has become known not only for her creative eye, but for her ability to listen, solve problems and confidently advocate for her clients throughout the design process.

A trip to Paris deepened her love of architecture and interiors, sparking a fascination with the character, history and details that give a space its soul. Today, that same curiosity shapes her approach to design: understand the person first, then create a home that could only belong to them.

Warm, energetic and admittedly a little feisty when it comes to protecting her clients’ best interests, Wendy believes the experience of creating a home should be every bit as thoughtful as the home itself.

There’s something about fall that makes us fall in love with home all over again. 🍂

As the temperatures begin to lower and the sounds of football fill the house (at least it does for us), we notice our spaces differently. We want them to feel a little warmer, a little softer and a lot more inviting.

And creating that feeling doesn’t necessarily mean decorating for fall.

In this home, warm rust accents, soft blues, natural wood tones, layered window treatments and comfortable furnishings create a sense of warmth that works beautifully throughout the year. We especially love how the different spaces flow together, giving this family plenty of room to gather while still creating cozy little places to settle in with a cup of coffee and stay awhile.

A new season is a wonderful reminder that sometimes your home simply needs a fresh perspective.

A beautiful home isn’t just about how each room looks, it’s about how the spaces connect. 🪴

For this home office, we wanted to create a sense of separation without closing it off from the adjoining space. We custom designed this open shelving unit to sit directly on the pony wall, giving the two areas definition while still allowing light, sightlines, and conversation to flow between them.

We carried that same thoughtful approach into the office with custom floating shelves, beautifully crafted by one of our amazing woodworkers. The warm wood tones tie everything together while providing the perfect place for family photos, meaningful pieces, and collected treasures.

These are the details we love most; designing something specifically for the home, the space, and most importantly, the people who live there.

Because your home shouldn’t look like everyone else’s. It should feel uniquely yours.

There’s something special about a quiet corner that invites you to stay awhile. 🤍

Textured wallpaper adds warmth and subtle dimension, while the custom-made chair brings in another beautiful layer of pattern and texture. Above it all, the soft, muted tones of the artwork create a sense of calm that ties the entire space together.

The result? A cozy little retreat made for slow mornings, a cup of coffee, and a really good book. ☕📖
