We received an email after one of our last markets that stopped us in our tracks. 🥃🪵

A customer who picked up one of our walnut bourbon trays took the time to write to us and tell us something we honestly needed to hear.

He noticed the details.

Not the obvious ones. Not the live edge grain or the shape of the board. The details that most people never think about — the ones we put in anyway because we simply cannot bring ourselves not to.

He noticed that the bottom of the board is finished just as well as the top. Because it is. Every single time. Nobody sees the bottom of a bourbon tray once you place it somewhere or even while carrying it — but we finish it anyway. Because we know it’s there. Because if there is a person who picks it up and turns it over, they deserve to find something just as beautiful underneath.

He noticed the logo branded into the board AND the bag.

He noticed the bourbon board care instructions tucked inside. Because a handcrafted piece deserves to be looked after and we want every board that leaves this shop to last for decades. 🥃

To the customer who took the time to write that email — thank you. Genuinely. You have no idea what it means to have someone notice the things we pour into every single piece when nobody is watching.

And to everyone else — this is what handmade actually means. Not just the shape. Not just the wood. Every edge. Every surface. Every detail on every side. Built with the same care whether anyone notices or not.

Because that is the only way we know how to build.

Fall photoshoot attempt: 4 out of 10. Bourbon trays: 10 out of 10. 🎃🥃🪵😂

Look — we make really beautiful things in this shop. Stunning bourbon trays. Flight boards from actual barrel staves. Custom pieces that can ship anywhere. We know what we’re doing with wood. 🪵

Photography and fall styling? That’s a different story. 😂

We had hay bales. We had a fake pumpkin. We had a skull that is technically supposed to be a plant holder but honestly holds a bourbon bottle way better than it would ever hold a plant. 💀🥃

Was it the most polished photoshoot we’ve ever done? Absolutely not.

Did the bourbon trays show up and look incredible anyway? Obviously. Because that’s what handcrafted live edge walnut and olive does — it doesn’t need a perfect setting to stop people in their tracks. It just needs to exist. 🪵🥃

Photos don’t do pistachio wood justice. Come find out why. 🌿🪵

We mean that genuinely. There is something about this pistachio slab in person — the way that warm wild grain shifts and moves in the light, the way the black epoxy sits against it sharp and clean, the way the cherry legs ground the whole piece — that no screen can fully capture.

You have to run your hand across it. You have to see that grain catch the light from different angles. You have to stand next to it and understand exactly why we were so excited to finally finish this one.

This is the kind of piece that finds its person at market. The one who walks past and doubles back. The one who can not stop looking at the grain. The one who was not planning on buying a coffee table that day. 😄🪵

Good things come in small packages. Especially when they’re made from a bourbon barrel. 🥃🪵🔥

Meet our small Glencairn flight board — cut from a real used bourbon barrel stave and built to hold your favorite pour in the most bourbon appropriate way possible. 🥃🪵

Every mark on the outside of this stave was earned. Every bit of char on the inside was intentional. And if you look at the edge — you can still see exactly how far the bourbon soaked into this wood during the years it spent aging something incredible. 🔥✨

Small board. Real history. Zero compromises. 🪵

This is the one for the bourbon lover with a smaller bar area, a tighter space or someone who just wants something deeply personal and completely one of a kind on their shelf. 🥃

Market season is here!

We’re always looking and applying to more events and markets but here is where we’ll be so far:

Starting off this Saturday the 3rd with The Makers Hive Market located at Desert Ridge Marketplace from 11am - 4pm.

This is always a fantastic market with amazing vendors so definitely stop by and support some local small businesses!
