About Tricia: I draw inspiration from my home in the Sonoran Desert—a place of striking contrasts and quiet beauty. The intense heat of the day gives way to cool desert nights, and with each rainstorm, flowers emerge from the dry sand. The desert’s palette—dusty greens, soft blues, warm browns, and muted golds—finds its way into my glazes, while the rugged, ribbed surfaces of cactus influence the textures in my work.

I create functional pottery, with each piece also serving as a work of art. Whether placed on a dining table or displayed alongside other artwork, each piece is designed to be both useful and visually engaging.

Ceramics is a craft I discovered later in life. After retiring, I took a class for fun, hoping it might teach me patience—something I am still working on. I never expected it to become such a passion. I love the feel of clay in my hands and the endless possibilities it offers. And just when I start to feel overly confident, the clay has a way of humbling me and bringing me back to center.

Come check out Tricia's work at the Willo Art Walk and Studio Tour on Saturday, Nov. 7th form 10am-4pm!

Janette Eusebio is a Phoenix-based ceramic artist whose work draws on travel, culture, and the natural world. Grounded in her Filipino heritage and a lifelong curiosity about place, she approaches clay as a way to translate experience into form.
She's drawn to organic shapes, pattern, and surface texture that suggest movement and quiet energy. Working in clay offers a steady, grounding rhythm, one that allows her practice to shift and grow over time.

Janette spent several years in New York City working as a graphic designer before relocating to Phoenix, where she founded Stir Design & Advertising in 2004. Her background in design continues to inform her ceramic practice, bringing a thoughtful approach to form, structure, and process.

See Janette's work at the Willo Artwalk on Saturday, November 7th from 10am-4pm!🏠🎨

About Embla: As a ceramic artist, I use clay to express myself, making functional pieces that can be used to serve coffee, tea, and treats. I want to bring people together at the table to create shared memories. After forming each piece, I sculpt and glaze representations of natural elements inspired by time spent in the woods and around the ocean in Bellingham, Washington where I was born and spent much of my early childhood, as well as several years over the past decade. I also draw from desert themes in Phoenix, Arizona, where I moved later in childhood and where I now live.

I also spend a lot of time creating jewelry out of clay, metals, and will sometimes incorporate beads and glass in my designs. Again, the motive is about bringing people together, which happens by creating unique pieces that often serve as conversation starters.
