A frosted morning in the Meadows. One of my favorite candles and one of my favorite pictures.

Our Meadows Pillar was made by pressing real plants into clay. The fine detail shines through the golden glow of pure beeswax. This candle pays homage to all that is good - birds, bees, goldenrod, queen anne’s lace, crisp air, and the morning sun.

In the late 80s and early 90s, our shop was one of the nation’s most renowned boutique sign makers. We made custom signage for restaurants and hotels around the world.

In addition to carved wood, we used a terrazzo-like mixture of ground stone, sand, mica and minerals that we created and named LuttStone, after our family name, Luttmann.

Today, we’re using LuttStone for small sculptural objects like the Sea Urchin Tealight Holder, a design adapted from a cast aluminum bowl that we made for Le Bernardin in 2014. LuttStone is a hefty, durable chameleon. You’ll be seeing lots of variations to come.

RH is the hidden rhythm behind the shop.

Each week, we’re working on new or restored serving boards for one of their 26 restaurants across the US and Europe.

Last week, we shipped white oak ovals to their new opening in Paris. This week, RH New York and Chicago are on the bench.

Every couple of months, the boards we made for each restaurant come back to us for restoration. We run them over the jointer, hand sand, and apply fresh coatings of food safe finish. They return to the dining room looking brand new. It’s good for us, good for them, and good for the diner!

Last year, we restored 622 white oak boards and 1,172 walnut boards.
