🚨PLEASE SHARE🚨REWARD UPDATED TO $12,000 FOR INFORMATION ON THE SHOOTING OF WIPEOUT KATIE 🚨
"I know what it is like to follow a great hound. To watch it grow, mature, and become not only the quality hound it was born to be, but also a cherished member of the family. To think of losing a dog in the manner that Larry Grimes and family lost Katie is appalling to me personally and professionally. So on behalf of JOY Dog Food, I would also like to offer a $2,000* REWARD to anyone who brings forth information leading to the capture and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this. I love hounds, and I love hounds men and women, and I hope in some way this will help us all find some closure and justice for this deplorable act of cruelty." - Wade Graskewicz, Owner of JOY Dog Food. *EDIT* Due to the additional support of others in the community the reward has increased to $12,000.00.
On April 03, 2026 in Adair County, MO Larry Grimes and his son were hunting with their dog Wipeout Katie (GRNITECH 'PR' Wipeout Katie) in a cast of the UKC TOC Qualifier Event held in the Kirksville, MO area. This was a planned event that had the necessary permits. Around 9:30 p.m. while hunting a cast, Larry heard gunshots, and Katie “went silent.” Larry checked his Garmin, which was tracking Katie’s collar location. Her location turned into a question mark, meaning the handheld had lost communication with the collar due to a lost GPS signal which indicates the collar had been tampered with or turned off. When Larry, his son, and Judge Jack Bingham found her, she was dead, and her collars were gone. When they looked at the Garmin handheld, the dog had never crossed the road or the left the ground they had permission to hunt on for this event. She was found about 40 yards off the road. Whoever shot Katie had to walk off the road, on foot, to shoot Katie and remove the collars. The collars were not recovered at the scene. If you have any information about this crime, please contact the Adair County Sheriff's Office. (660) 665-4644. Someone knows something. PLEASE SHARE so we can get the word out and bring this family justice.
