It’s been a minute since I’ve posted something on here but I’ve been reinventing my art and have been REALLY enjoying making these sweet key racks. Happy Thankful Day! Well…it’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything on here. Summer has been super busy with math tutoring, swimming, and our backyard makeover. I’ve been feeling a little creative lately, however, and thought I would post some things. The fabric bowls were a way to use up some scraps and to spend some quality time with my grandbunny, Drew. The watercolor pictures I completed today in an effort to put my new hexi frames to good use. I love how they turned out…plus I got to use my new Japanese watercolor paints.

A little watercolor painting I did for my nephew who is visiting with us from Brasil. I’m still learning technique but I like how this one turned out. What have all of you been creating lately? Hope your Tuesday has been blessed so far. :))

I hope you are all still creating. I made these sweet little bookmarks for a sister at church. I love their scrappy look. They have pockets with hearts/butterflies for her to write affirmations or promises from God. They also have a hidden paper clip inside to secure the bookmark on the page. It has been a while since I have posted anything here on Facebook. As most of you have seen, I had to close my studio. I have been on a 6-year journey, furthering my education and at the one-year anniversary of my business, I had to make a decision. Would I keep the doors open or would I close them? For the past year and a half, I have juggled my graduate studies, cared for a Pop with dementia, and tried to run a successful business. It has been a difficult journey, and most days I was going 9 ways to Sunday.

I had to make some hard decisions to NOT waiver in my faith and convictions. I know that this caused me to lose business and even prompt people to speak ill of me. In retrospect, I wouldn't have changed a thing. I don't regret NOT doing paint and sip nights. I don't regret telling parents NOT to curse in my studio. Some students didn't like me playing Christian music, but others loved it.

Through it all, I have learned that God sets the standards, not me. He gave me the business and sustained it for a year. For that, I am thankful. I am also thankful for all of your love and support.

So, this page will continue to stay up. My Happy Place... A Creation Studio is now in my home. It is where I create. It is in your home, where you and your children create.

My hope is that you will continue to post on here what you and your children create and we can support each other in our creative efforts as we walk through life.

My goal for the studio was always to create community and support those who walked through its doors in any way I was able.
