Case study

Office building located in B city recently decides to go energy efficient to qualify for the Energy Start Program and enjoy the rebates and incentives. By considering switch to LED lighting with control and monitoring system, it will allows the property managing team to update the lighting control at each property and a scalable system that could also adapt to the changing demand of the building and its tenants electricity consumption patterns. LED is an ideal candidate to replace HID lamps potentially in commercial lightings. One of the major advantages of LED light sources is that they are dimmable and available in various colors, including deep red, blue, and far red. By replacing all of the existing 1,000 fluorescent lamps with 2*2 LED panel light and improving 75% of energy efficiency, it will help the building save nearly 246,875kWh of electricity a year — a $37,031 based on 3,120 hours of operation at a $0.15/KWh rate. There will be even greater energy saving with the smart energy control system while maintenance is reduced.
