If you like a unique shopping experience, and want to be nowhere near downtown Pittsburgh the weekend of the draft, come see us at the Kinsey Vintage Spring Market in Oakdale, PA, April 24th-26th.
On opening night they will have live music, plus your $10 admission ticket also gets you a voucher for a glass of wine.

In our booth you’ll find upcycled home goods such as ready-to-hang wall art, throw pillows handmade from vintage fabrics, funky table lamps, small area rugs & runners, decor, and accent furniture.

In addition to vintage vendors, there are also lots of vendors selling handmade items, jewelry, clothing, and small batch chocolate. Get $1 off admission with the donation of non-perishable food items. Kinsey Events Warehouse

Step right up 🎪 A little bit of whimsy, a little bit of nostalgia, and just enough pattern to spark a whole world of imagination. Designing a nursery is about practical comfort, but also about creating the first tiny world someone experiences. Before they understand words, they’re taking in the colors, the shapes, the imagery. The little moments that fill a room with wonder.

Our VALANCE wallpaper border in Honey is shown here. If you’re dreaming up a world for your own little one, explore our full collection at the link in our bio + use promo code DAHLHAUS50 for 50% off.

We’re looking for one or two Pittsburgh-area homeowners or renters with a nursery or toddler’s room that could use a touch of whimsy!
This is a complimentary mini styling project featuring one of our wallpaper borders installed in the space, along with coordinating art and decorative accents to complete the look. We’re especially interested in rooms that feel a bit unfinished or plain and would benefit from a playful transformation.

What’s included:
* Installation of one of our wallpaper borders
* A few decorative accents (art, accessories, and finishing details), to be chosen and provided by Dahlhaus Design Co.

What’s not included:
* Furniture such as cribs, changing tables, beds, or major furnishings
(These would need to already be in place or supplied by you.)

Why is it free?
In exchange, we will photograph and video the completed space to use for marketing and promotion of our wallpaper border collection across social media and other platforms.
If you’re interested in participating, please contact us with the following:
* A photo of the room
* A short description of the space and who it’s for
* Your home address in the Pittsburgh area

We can’t wait to bring a little imagination into a real home!

Fresh new look for this stunning Queen Anne Victorian home in Shadyside. The current yellow and green combo is making way for a softer, tonal blue green, with bronze yellow accents. I brought this vision to life using a combination of AI and Photoshop.

Why You Hate That: PART ONE: Block-Printed Paisley Floral Patterns 🧐

For those of us who were reaching adulthood in the late 90s, this pattern brings back a very specific era. Incense in the air. H**p necklaces. Beaded curtains. And a tablecloth being used as a wall tapestry.

Sometimes our reactions are less about the pattern itself and more about the associations we have with it. Even if you love the memories, you still might not want it on your dining room table.

Keep the artistry. Lose the dorm-room energy. Swipe through the slides to see how.

What design element gives you an irrational reaction?

When I create mood boards for clients, I arrange the product images so most of the items are in proportion with each other. I think this way it’s easier to envision how everything would sit together, rather than just having all the items floating around one another on a white page. I think it’s fair to say it’s a step between a standard Mood Board and a Room Rendering.

For the family room shown here, my clients in O’hara asked for a “fun, punchy rug”, new occasional tables, better lighting, throw pillows, window treatments, and gallery frames for family photos. Here are two of the options I put together for them. Which one do you think they chose?

📣 I am thrilled to share that I am now offering real estate services alongside my interior design work. For years, my focus has been on helping clients create homes that feel like themselves, spaces that are welcoming, functional, and full of charm. Now, I have the opportunity to guide people even earlier in the process, helping them find the right home and then using design to make it truly feel like theirs.

This new chapter allows me to combine two passions I have always loved: helping people find the spaces that fit their lives, and using design to transform those spaces into homes that feel comfortable, personal, and full of character. Whether it’s a first-time buyer, a family looking to grow into a new space, or an investor seeking a rental property, I am excited to be part of the journey from the very beginning.
